Avni’s experience has been multidisciplinary, including research in construction and demolition waste management and safety factors for demolition workers. She is also an architect by education and has practised eco-sensitive construction.

Avni is conscious about her contributions towards social and climate justice. She enjoys doing community work with children and the elderly. In order to get her hands muddy, she regularly finds ways to volunteer for reforestation and farming programs. To self-regulate, she makes art and resonates with the quote by Fannie Lou Hamer, “Nobody’s free until everybody is free”.
